[EDIT]: This is a quick update just to add that the designs should look like something they would actually wear, so no comical ones please!(I've got a couple of question about it, so I added the rule) Don't be sad about it, there might be another contest with that kind of topic, but this time it's not.
And I have to inform you that I will be away till Saturday so the notes and comments will be answered when I come back.

NEW CONTEST IS FINALLY HERE! The theme is: Create a new look for the GazettE
Sorry it took me so long.

Let's go straight to it.


General rules:

You have to be a member to enter.

The entry has to be a new deviation uploaded to deviantART after today's date (November 1st).

One entry per member allowed.

Media: traditional & digital art(no photomanipulations, see 'other rules' ).

Voting: Starts after the deadline and it's done by members. Voting ends after a week.

The participants HAVE TO vote(not for themselves, of course) or their entry will be DISQUALIFIED!

Deadline: December 1st.

About the entries rules:

Since bands like the GazettE change their appearance very often, it's up to you for this contest to design a new styling for them.

It can be their new outfits only or you can give them new hairstyles too - your choice.

You can make the designs for the whole band or for your favorite member only - again, your choice.

You can draw the clothing only or them wearing it. If you choose not to draw them but want to create new hairstyles for them the same rule applies - draw the person or just the hair.

You can choose to create new clothing only or both clothes and hair. However, you can't choose hair only!

You can make close-ups of accessories and other details in the same entry too.

The clothing designs shouldn't be comical - we didn't have that in mind. It should be something they would actually wear.


Other rules(what is & what is not allowed):

No photomanipulations allowed! You can't just alter their old look, it has to be completely new.

Textures, patterns, brushes and so on are, however, allowed for digital art.

You can use photographs for the background only.


How to submit your entry:

1. Join if you haven't already.

2. Read all of the rules carefully.

3. Send us a note with the subject 'contest entry' or just 'entry' which contains the THUMB code of your deviation.

Note: This contest theme is chosen but members in the voting that was on sometime ago. This theme is suggested by ~haneMIsaki and she is allowed to enter if she wants even though she's one of the admins - I will be the one counting the votes
The next contest theme will be the one with the most votes after this one - I will not reveal which one of course

It's our beloved drummer's 28th birthday on the 28th (which is right now in Japan)!

Come wish Kai a happy birthday through fanmail on GazettE's OHP : [link]

This is how you can wish him a happy birthday in Japanese (and feel free to correct me on this, I've only started Japanese lessons last month): \"戒さんお誕生日おめでとうございます (thanks to =pylangelov )

You could also leave a message on GazettE's MySpace, but there's a higher chance that Kai will get around to reading it if it's sent through their Japanese OHP

Okay, so did anyone notice that Uruha is wearing hot pants and pantyhose in the video?? I mean, I don't think I would have the guts to wear that around, not that I'm complaining about Uruha's costume designer ;D

Club update:

I'm sorry but joining notes can't be sorted until I retrieve data from my old computer(I've just got a new one yesterday) and everything about the club is in there, along with the member list and other stuff. I'm an idiot, I should have moved that on my flash before it was shut down. But don't worry, I'll move everything in a few days. Until then, new members that are waiting for their joining notes to be replied, please be patient! Keep submitting though, that can be done.
It's so weird to have an empty computer, thank god I found some music on my mp4, Filth in the Beauty is on

Speaking of joining, people, please NOTE US if you want to join! There are a lot of people who just add the club to their watch list. That way I don't know if they want to become a member or just watch the club. Even worse thing is to send a joining note without adding the club to your watch list. It clearly states in the welcoming note that you have to do it, otherwise you are not added to the member list until you do so. Please check out the rules before joining or submitting. You can find a link to rules on top of every journal.

On the other side, the contest will be arranged very soon
